Typically, registration begins at 7:30 a.m., with classes running from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. At some facilities, doors and registration open at 8:00 a.m.

This one-day course is for those who have been certified in Design of Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans and need to renew their certification. (5.5 PDH)

To better serve our attendees, we are offering choices of recertification classes. All of these provide the same Construction SWPPP certification, and attendees are encouraged to explore new stormwater technologies while getting the NPDES permit updates. Descriptions of class options are listed below.

Culvert Emphasis - This class will have two hours of content on new culvert design concepts that consider ecological benefits as well as sediment transport and hydraulic capacity. The section to include this emphasis is Section (C).

Engineering Ethics Emphasis - This class will have standard information on the current NPDES construction permit, and will include a two-hour module with a focus on professional engineering ethics. The section to include this emphasis is Section (E).

Environmental Review - This SWPPP recertification class will have standard information on the current NPDES construction permit, and will include a two-hour module with a focus on environmental review documents. The section to include this emphasis is (ER).

Infiltration Emphasis - This class will have standard information on the current NPDES construction permit, and additional content on the design, construction, and maintenance of surface bioinfiltration best management practices. ;The section to include this emphasis is Section (I).

Linear Emphasis - This class will have standard information on the current NPDES construction permit, and additional content on SWPPPs created for linear projects such as highways and some utility work. The section to include this emphasis is Section (L). >

Who should attend:

Personnel who have a University of Minnesota Erosion and Stormwater Management Certification Program Design of Construction Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans certification that expires on May 31, 2024.
