ISW2202 Industrial Stormwater Regulations, SWPPPs, Sampling and Monitoring

This course is available in both in-person and online formats.

Industrial facilities in Minnesota regulated by the Industrial Stormwater Permit are required to develop a stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP), conduct sampling and monitoring of stormwater runoff, and adapt to stormwater runoff monitoring exceedances from facilities. This course is designed for people who are new to industrial stormwater and industrial stormwater permits and for those who would like a detailed refresher of the industrial stormwater requirements. Course topics include no exposure, SWPPP development and implementation, stormwater sampling and monitoring, laboratory selection, inspections, SWPPP modification, annual training requirements, and PFAS monitoring and reporting requirements. This course meets the Permit's annual training requirement. 

This course will not provide detailed design guidance for structural practices or detailed responses to benchmark exceedances.

Prospective attendees must register individually online with their own individual email address. (NO GROUP REGISTRATION IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS) The system does not allow an administrative assistant to register for you. The online course must be completed by March 31, 2026 or the course fee will be forfeited. Online registrations are non-refundable and non-transferrable. In-person registrations are refundable until 1 week before the course and are transferrable.
